Ever since Lincoln started potty-training himself, Scout has been keeping a watchful eye. On occasion she runs up to me and tells me "potty" and sometimes I will take off her diaper and let her sit on the potty. Well, yesterday she said, "poo poo potty" so I took off her diaper and low and behold a minute later she did the deed. Then she went again this morning. Does this mean she's ready? Probably, but we'll see. I don't know how to potty-train children. I can't believe that I've even been given the opportunity to raise them. We'll see how this goes. If anyone has advice, let me know. Beka, I know Tyse was trained at two, right? I'm thinking, since Linc has had a relapse in his potty time, maybe I should train them together. No diapers..... I can't even imagine what that would be like.
The indiscreet pose. She kept saying "cheese" while she was on the potty, which told me she wanted her picture taken.

Wow, she is amazing! It is still a rare occasion that McKartnee actually goes when she tries to on the big girl potty. It sounds like she is totally ready. Man, what will it be like to not have to change diapers any more? I guess that means it is time for another one. J/K
As far as advice, I let Wyatt run around for a couple of days with nothing on bottom, and that seemed to help him go in the potty. When he had underwear on he kept having accidents, but he seemed to pay more attention without pants on. I still had to watch and ask him frequently him if he had to go, but once he got the hang of it he did a great job. I don't think McKartnee is going to be that easy, therefore I keep putting it off. I'm sure Scout will be a breeze with already wanting to go. Good luck. Sorry for the novel.
What in the world!? I hope my second child is as easy as a child as Scout is! That's awesome, good job Scout!
so not fair. Parker will be going to the prom in a pull up at the rate he is going. He did go potty twice though this weekend in the potty....but still. He has no desire to really be committed.
Oh do tell me how it goes. I am not looking forward to that part of parenthood. -melissa
Well, you could always try to break our record of 12+ straight years of diapers! Great job Scout!!
How cool is that? She's even sitting on the potty without a potty seat! Way to go Scout! When you're done, come teach Amy. She really wants to, but I think it's a pain in the butt to take her diaper off and put it back on. I guess I need to be more disciplined. That would be so awesome for you to not have to buy diapers! Hope it all goes well.
So i have decided that Chase is just slow, He is barely talking let alone going on the potty i can not even get him to admit when he has a stinky diaper. Well HOpefully he will at least be smart enough to Marry Scout when he is older
Oh the things we have to look forward to! Yay for Scout!! And I have to say... LOVE the Lincolnisms!!
