Dave and I went to Toys R Us the other day to do a little shopping for Christmas. Anticipating the cold winter months ahead, I got a little crazy and everything I saw, I wanted to buy. Of course, I didn't. I put pretty much all of my kids toys away for the summer, because all they do is wake up and go outside until it gets dark. Yesterday was another beautiful and warm Fall day, and I'm enjoying this extended season this year. Lincoln and his friend found large cardboard pipes and sat up on the deck racing hot wheels and balls down it for an hour. Why do we continue to buy toys for kids that are happy with the box it came in?

The deck looks beautiful! You'll have to post more pictures so we can see the finished product. Any news on the house hunting???
Your deck looks awesome. Can't wait to see it in person! :)
You can just give me the toys and give your kids the boxes!
Sounds FUN! Believe it or not, all my Christmas shopping is done--I'm an early bird with Christmas shopping. :) I can't wait for Boston to open them!
That is so true! Everything at your house is fun to Alexis!
That's so funny. I can't tell you how much money I've wasted buying toys that never get played with. It is always the box or juice can or something else that costs little or nothing. At least they're having fun, right? Maybe I'll save that money and buy me a nice gift. Hmmmm.
Seriously...I would love to live at your house! The deck is just the icing on the cake on an already perfect backyard for kids and adults! I miss the days when my kids loved playing with the boxes. Enjoy the precious memories.
