Copy Kat(ie)
As you all know, my voice is a bit deeper than the average female's. I have had numerous occasions where friends and strangers have mistaken my voice not just for someone else, but a man. That sweet confession aside, I always thought that my children wouldn't notice this until they were older. Scout mimics me constantly...when I'm scolding Lincoln, when I'm talking to neighbors, but most especially when I'm on the phone. The other night I was talking to Dave on the phone as I was driving home. I hung up the phone and I heard Scout grumbling something in the back. I turned to her and said what are you doing? She looked up and smiled and then said in a low, gruff voice, "I'm talking like mommy on the phone." Awesome! Now, it's only a matter of time before she tells me that my breath stinks in the morning too. Aren't kids wonderful?!

I love how blunt and honest kids are! Alexis tries to tell me that my clothes or Elle's clothes don't match, and sometimes the little 3 year old does have me second guessing my choice!
You are so funny Katie! I love the way you describe things.
That is funny. Just today, Parker drew a picture of me with Penny in my tummy and these weird claw feet. When I asked why I had weird claw feet he said, "They are penguin feet, because you waddle." I couldn't argue with him or be hurt. It's so very true.
Scout is so darn cute.
LOL: that's pretty funny of Scout to mimic like that. I love the fire photos and sorry I haven't commented in a while but I love your updates. Have a great fall; it's one of the best since moving here for us.
You crack me up! I miss hearing your voice!!
