For the Love of Fire

Every year Dave's department hosts an open house for any and all ages to come all day and enjoy some demonstrations and learn about fire safety. Too be honest, all my kids learn from it is that you can sneak large amounts of popcorn and cotton candy without mom noticing. Thanks to all of Dave's fellow firefighters that make sure that Lincoln gets as much cotton candy as he wants whether or not his mom allows it. You guys are always there for me. =) Some other fun things they get to do are crawl through a smoke trailer, do CPR on dummies, watch the firefighters put out an enormous fire and cut cars apart, as well as learn some important fire safety tips. The most exciting part, of course, is watching the Life Flight helicopter land and nearly getting blown away.

We were lucky enough to have so many of our friends and neighbors join us that day for the fun. Thanks to everyone who came. Hopefully you had a great time.

Thanks for letting me steal your camera and for posting the pictures! We had so much fun! Sorry I didn't get to see you much though--I had to go to work so we couldn't stay as long as we would have liked. The girls really loved being junior firefighters!

We had so much fun, Alexis is still talking about it! Of course it wouldn't have been the same if Lincoln wasn't there with her so thanks for letting us bum around with you!
