Blurb?!
So, I've been talking a lot with friends about how I am not a scrapbooker, but I enjoy blogging. (Although, not much of that has been going on lately.) Anyway, I have chronicled my kids lives better by blogging than I ever have or ever will in a journal or a scrapbook. Let's be honest, digital cameras are great, but how many of us are actually printing our pictures out? At least, I'm not. So, I just googled blog books and blurb.com came up and looks promising. I may just try it to see how it works. If anyone ends up doing something like this let me know. I'm interested and thought that I would pass it along.

My cousin is actually using the blurb website to make a few blog books. I'll let you know how they turn out. She seems to like it so far. And by the way, thanks for the great resources on your blog, I have an awesome background now because of one of your links.
They are amazing! My friend in my ward printed one and I was so impressed with how it turned out! I think it is definitely worth it- just for journal sake, of course, says the career scrapper!
I'm such a dork! A total blogging illiterate! I tried to leave you a comment, then I accidentally erased it, and now it is clear that I have no idea what I'm doing!!! Maybe someday I'll figure this all out! Anyway -- we love and miss you all!
sams club online has books you can make too. I am not sure how they compare in price. My sister Vicky made one and they look good.
Katy, I absolutely LOVE picaboo.com It is SUPER user-friendly (more so that shutterfly or blurb -- it's a click and drag sort of thing) But anyway, I did a book for our wedding and am now chronicling our lives doing a book each year. (taping a CD with all of the pics to the back cover for easy access later)
We'll have to show you Reiker's book from last year. It is SO cool! Anyway, I'm with you on the scrapbooking thing, but I love picaboo for one main reason: the storyboard option. It's where you can download a ton of pictures and then click and drag them into each page and then it makes a "dummy" book for you. Then you just go in an choose your layouts and backgrounds later. (SAVES SO MUCH TIME)
Anyway. I obviously should be a spokesman for them... sorry for the soapbox. But if you need more convincing... ;)
I love blurb.com! It's a great way to scrapbook for us nonscrapbookers. I hate "crafty" things but I love great style when I have to do "crafty-type" thins and blurb.com fulfills that for me. Let me know what you think of it. Shutterfly is another popular one--I like it for gifts/calendars but blurb.com is a little more compatible for bloggers. :)

I've used picaboo before to combine and make an album but I haven't actually printed it yet. Now, I'm in a pickle. Which do I choose...picaboo or blurb? Lisa, you say you did use blurb, or you just found that picaboo was easy?
Thanks everyone for your comments!
So, I tried out Blurb after using Picaboo and maybe I just was already in Picaboo mode and I didn't like it as much. But I'm not familiar with the relationship to blogging and the books, I'll be honest. I'm sure whichever one you choose, it will be just fine! -- you have to print them tho, or it's pointless... ;)
Okay this comment has nothing to do with your post because I don't know anything about it! But yes, Brandon is planning on running in the Summerfest--we should go together if you guys are going, which I'm sure you are. The kids loved it last year and I want some cotton candy!
